My original intent for this site was to provide a place where you can post and read stories about ordinary Americans who do extraordinary things for their family, their community or our United States of America.

I got the idea for the site when the young actor Heath Ledger died tragically in January of 2008. For days the media covered this story pretty much wall to wall. Tragic as this kids death was I thought, good God, there are so many ordinary Americans out there who are true heroes but they never get recognized. Why not try to tell some of their stories.

That is still the primary purpose of the site. However, as I watch our "leaders" in Washington, the State House, City Hall and on our local school boards sink further and further into the morass of stupidity that has become our Government, I feel compelled to also use the site as a sounding board for common sense conservative ideas. If you are a liberal with an idea that makes sense I will consider it, however if you just want to espouse the same crap being fed us by your President and Congress then forget it. You ain't gettin' on my web site!

If you have a hero story you would like me to publish please email it to me. As the site develops we will formalize the submission process but for now just send them and I'll get them posted. Please feel free to send your thoughts and suggestions for the site.
